        Verdict

        Dermot Weld won the inaugural race last season with an odds-on chance and Chinese Light will attract support on her reappearance. She started a short-priced favourite on her introduction at Galway and didn't run badly though she showed little improvement in a better race at Leopardstown later. But she's a sister to a Group 1 winner so better is expected. DIAMONDSANDRUBIES ran in that latter event and was noted going on nicely at the finish. She's still in the Irish Oaks and could well prove good enough for this. Mohini doesn't have any fancy entries though that could change if she could make a successful reappearance as she showed real potential when staying on behind Royal Navy Ship at the Curragh in October. Super Focus should do better this season though this looks a tough maiden.
