The three to note in this tricky maiden are Royal Defence, Shaaridh and TRULY ASIA, with the vote going to the last named. Truly Asia has run well in defeat in all three maiden runs to date. He ran a personal best at Newmarket last time out, finishing an eye catching second of twelve behind Penitent. He has experience behind him and with further improvement still to come he looks a class above his rivals. Shaaridh ran only once as a two year old but ran well enough on her seasonal reappearance at Pontefract when finishing third of eight. She ran very green that day and should once again benefit for the run so any market moves should be noted. Dandy Nicholls has his team of horses in good order at present and he is represented by Royal Defence. He had looked a promising sort but he will have to improve on what he achieved on his latest start at Ripon. Roger Charlton is not a regular that this Yorkshire venue so Truly Asia should be given the utmost respect and is thought good enough to break his maiden tag.
