KARAFUSE can land a low-grade start to the action; Alhoni and Kodibelle (a stablemate of the selection) at least have respectable form figures and also merit consideration, while Roi Du Boeuf also catches the imagination; if only for being an ultra-rare contender sent out from Richard Hannon's Wiltshire base to appear at Thirsk. The last named didn't look anything special when trailing in behind a stable companion on debut at Salisbury last month. He may have needed the experience but needs to have improved greatly since then if he is going to have an impact today. Alhoni and Kodibelle are closely matched judging by their two previous encounters. The latter makes a touch more appeal on these terms and is taken to win that 'Match Bet'. However, Karafuse is worth chancing at the weights and, as he has the benefit of being drawn close to the stands side rail, he will be very hard to peg back if he is allowed an easy lead.
