      Verdict

      Antioco Murgia has started to look like an apprentice jockey going places and with his mount HAZELRIGG weighted for a big run Tim Easterby's charge lands the verdict over last time out winner Poppy's Rose and the consistent Lucky Dan. A course and distance winner three starts ago the pick was only just denied off this mark last time out. That run gives him a clear chance so although he won't want any more rain to get into the ground he should go well. Poppy's Rose was a cosy enough winner last time and has a more than capable partner in the plate but her 6lbs penalty will make life tougher. Lucky Dan has been a close up fourth off 1lb higher in the handicap on his last two runs and might need a reprieve before scoring while Desert Strike would like things firmer under hoof. An intriguing start to the card where Hazelrigg is weighted for a big run.
