A three timer scorer last season DENTON has improved in a couple of starts this term and with further progression could take this handicap with Eltheeb looking the main threat and Pintura should have his say. It's unfortunate that the handicapper has seen it fit to give the pick extra weight to carry after finishing a close up third to Resentful Angel at Kempton but he'll act well in these conditions and may well progress again. Eltheeb scored well at Goodwood on his seasonal bow before making a bold bid at following up at the same venue. He should be competitive despite another mark rise but he won't want things any softer. Pintura got up late in the day to just score over a mile here last time and he could defy the handicapper with the step up in trip looking a good move. Star Addition is consistent but perhaps is still a little high in the weights so the best choice is Denton who can improve enough to take this.
