The drop back in trip may see CAPE VALE back in the winner's enclosure as we take him to see off Le Toreador, Artsu and Crimea. A key piece of form here could be Le Toreador's win at Ayr, where he had Artsu a neck back in second with Stolt further back in fifth. The latter has plenty of work to do but Noel Wilson has his sprinters running well, but Artsu's pull in the weights means that he could reverse the placings. Sudden Impact needs to improve for the drop back in trip on quick ground, whilst there wasn't much between Medici Time and Kyzer Chief last time behind Twosheetstothewind but the former was the more eye-catching. The interesting runner is Crimea who was a winner on his debut here earlier this month. He is quickly sent up against some older and experienced handicappers but this 120,000 guineas son of Kheylef is obviously open to lots of improvement. The selection however is Cape Vale, a half-brother to the classy Moss Vale. He wasn't disgraced at Epsom last time and a repeat of that run may be enough to seal victory here, with the drop in trip in his favour. A tough puzzle for punters to solve in the finale but we will side with the Dandy Nicholls runner Cape Vale.
