Verdict
A market move for Malcheek would be of interest following two runs at 33/1 and 25/1, however a safer option may be HICCUPS who is narrowly preferred. Michael Dods has his horses running well and this experienced gelding has been holding his form well of late. He has no problem with a quick seven furlongs and is taken to add to his course and distance win. Pickering needs respect now stepping up to seven furlongs, especially as his best run this season was at a stiff Pontefract in April, whilst Dream Express is a stablemate of the selection and wasn't disgraced behind White Deer last time. Mozayada is starting to look attractively handicapped, Avontuur will appreciate this return to seven furlongs, whilst Violent Velocity won nicely at Newmarket on Saturday but he probably needs some cut in the ground to be seen at his best again. This looks a tightly-knit contest and we will just plump for Hiccups.
