Downland, Mission Affirmed and Slavonic are the three we like here and the vote is given to Downland. The selection deserves to get his head in front again as he was a close second behind Trafalgar Square at Yarmouth last time. He had gone close on his previous run at Doncaster behind Yorkshire Blue and with conditions once again in his favour today he looks to have an outstanding opportunity to get his head in front. Mission Affirmed will certainly be suited by the drop in trip as he failed to see out the 9f last time at Redcar when fifth behind Bright Sun. However, all his wins have come on the all-weather and as that surface seems to suit his style of racing the best he is passed over. Slavonic won well at Ayr last time but he looks opposable as he has a penalty for that success and his overall form is not strong. We'll Meet Again is a course and distance winner and as he hails from a shrewd yard and is on a handy mark he is certainly one to note in the market. However, for the winner we will stick with the in-form Downland.
