      Verdict

      King Orchisios, Green Park and Sea Salt are three to consider in this five furlong handicap where quality not quantity is the order of the day, and Kevin Ryan's exciting King Orchisios is taken to come out on top. A winner at Windsor and Lingfield last year, Green Park showed that he retains that ability when finishing fast in second in a decent handicap at Chester last week. He looks well treated here, and if not succeeding today, can be followed closely. After a promising debut here, David Barron's Sea Salt was made a short priced favourite at Musselburgh last time but only just obliged, being all out to win. The yard is in form, and he is trained locally, but he is passed over. King Orchisios destroyed his opponents with a blistering show of speed on his debut at Haydock last year, and was made favourite for his seasonal re-appearance in a conditions race at Newmarket. He led for a long way, but faded in the closing stages of that seven furlong race. He is brought back to the minimum trip here, and provided not too much rain gets into the ground to blunt his speed, King Orchisios is a confident selection.
