Touchdown should prove hard to beat in this maiden; the list of dangers is headed by Kimbolton and Danesman. The selection should have won last time but he veered right across the track when three lengths clear at Folkestone, a move that cost him the race. Prior to that he had been a promising second to Classic Trial-bound fellow newcomer Top Lock at Kempton so he has solid form to his name. Kimbolton did show some promise on her debut at Wolverhampton and she should be suited by this step-up in trip, so it will be interesting to see how Henry Cecil's filly gets on today. Similar comments would apply to Danesman who ran well in what looked a decent Nottingham maiden on his debut. Mick Channon's filly Dolly Penrose is another that looks to be going the right way, so she is also respected. However, this looks a good opportunity Touchdown who is surely worth another try.
