This is the richest race on the card, and as one would expect a hot little contest, and from the disappointingly small field we'll side with FOL HOLLOW ahead of Jaconet and Arganil. Dandy Nicholls' sprinters always command respect, and although it's nearly two years since Fol Hollow last won, he's been running consistently well, with three places in his last five outings in similarly decent contests. First time cheek pieces may assist Kevin Ryan's Arganil; first time blinkers helped him win a listed race at Lingfield in March, but were of no use subsequently when he finished last but one in the Palace House Stakes a fortnight ago. Jaconet was third behind him at Lingfield, but has got a listed race to his name, and he's tumbling down the weights, having been racing off 106 as recently as March. Tabaret won his penultimate race and was third at York on Thursday in a similar contest, and although he's paid his way over the years and yielded a profit to level stakes, his overall profile of 4 from 45 isn't encouraging, and he's never won when so quickly turned out again. All the runners have winning form over this minimum trip, and Captain Dunne has a course and distance success to his name, albeit nearly two years ago, and he's never won at this sort of level. The market may be pretty tight, but carrying our support will be Fol Hollow.
