This is a wide open contest, and although Discanti has claims given his win last time out, we prefer the claims of Red Cape and PEARLEY WAY. The McInnes horse is well below his last winning mark of nearly two years ago, but looks well-weighted here. As with Discanti, the high draw is an advantage, and he came close to winning last time out earlier in the month. He maybe got going too late then, and was a few lengths behind the winner in second, but stayed on well, but with a positive ride he could land the spoils. Discanti's not that consistent (although few here are), the recent win being his first in six outings, but he's shot up the weights as a consequence, and he's never won at anything like his latest mark. Red Cape is the only course and distance winner, but that was a year ago. It may be a lively betting market, and our support goes to Pearley Way.
