In a wide open finale we'll chance CLUMBER PLACE ahead of Mister Jingles and Ask Dan. Our selection caused something of an upset when winning at odds of 50/1 on her final start of 2009. There appeared no fluke about it though, with the drop down to today's trip simply helping her recapture the sort of form that saw her win on debut at Pontefract. With that first time out success in mind we're confident fitness won't be an issue and the handicapper has been kind in only raising the filly 2lbs. On a line through Nufoudh Mister Jingles is strictly held by our selection, but Michael Stainton's mount has nothing to prove with regards fitness and should be capable of going close having placed off this mark last time, with all of his wins having come at this trip. Ask Dan could be best of the rest despite having disappointed backers last time. Michael Dods' charge will be suited by stepping back up in trip and is now 4lbs below his last winning mark, so everything looks in place for a better run. Silly Gilly is now a pound lower than when taking this race last year and may have been primed for this so keep an eye on the market, whilst Mr Lu isn't without hope off what appears a fair rating. This isn't the best way to end an otherwise decent card but something has to win and we'll take Clumber Place to do just that.
