Mr Wolf should go well from a good draw but we'll chance MAZE instead, with Atlantic Beach and Turning Circle others to consider. Our selection was once highly thought of when under the care of Brian Smart but things didn't pan out as planned. He's since transferred to Dandy Nicholls and hasn't been with his new yard long, so can be expected to improve a little for a close fourth last time. On that form he already holds Klynch, with Mr Wolf of greater concern. John Quinn's likeable front-runner has just been denied on each of his last two starts but the handicapper has no sympathy and, raised another 4lbs in defeat, his winning chance may have gone for now. It'll be interesting to see whether Atlantic Beach is asked to take Mr Wolf on the for the lead, a scenario that'd surely do neither horse any good. Atlantic Beach ran well over course and distance last time and should go well off the same mark from a good draw. Turning Circle is another to have gone well over course and distance last time and this maiden is capable of landing a small race, whilst top weight Secret Witness can't totally be discounted on the pick of his efforts especially if proving as good on the turf as he is on artificial surfaces. This is a competitive sprint handicap with plenty of pace on and hopefully Maze can swoop late to land it.
