Plenty of these have chances but the vote goes to Mugeba, who is marginally preferred to Amelia and Obe Bold. The last mentioned is well treated on the best of her form and has to be respected but is on a long losing sequence and that run may continue again. Michael Dods has his string in good form now so Aahgowangowan has to be respected, especially off his current mark, but her best form is all over the minimum trip and he is probably best passed over. Karashino is less exposed than most after just three starts and has claims if the rain comes in her favour, while Piddies Pride is capable on her day but is inconsistent. Amelia showed improved form when chasing home the in-form Shrink at Newcastle last time and has to be respected on that evidence but the handicapper has raised her a couple of pounds for that and preference is for Mugeba, who has been running consistently well of late and now has the assistance of the very capable Adam Kirby, who is good value for his 5lb claim.
