Real Cool Cat showed promise in both starts as a juvenile and Mark Johnston's colt is entitled to respect on his reappearance but preference is for Jabraan, with Malcheek rated the best of the remainder. The selection only had the one start as a two-year-old running down the field in a Leicester maiden when odds on favourite. The son of Aljabr should have learned a great deal from that outing and Godolphin's colt would not need to improve a great deal on that evidence to trouble the Johnston runner. The William Haggas-trained Algharb ran with promise at Doncaster last month and has claims along with Major Magpie, who represents the in-form yard of Michael Dods and has run with credit to be placed in his two maidens so far. None of the others make any real appeal and preference is for Jabraan, who is taken to open his account.
