A weak event filled with mainly disappointing type and Boavista is the tentative suggestion to small stakes ahead of Compton Plume, Officer's Pink and La Corujera. Tim Easterby's charge has at least shown a consistent level of form at this level and put up a particularly promising effort last time when a close third in a similar event at Ripon last time and is now able to race off a 1lb lower mark so should be on the premises from a favourable draw. Compton Plume finished a place and a neck behind the selection at the Yorkshire venue but, along with the lightly raced Officer's Pink, has a poor draw to overcome and looks held. La Corujera has been knocking on the door of late and deserves to get her head in front but may ideally prefer further so this appears a good opportunity for Boavista to open his account.
