slowly into stride, held up, switched left and headway 2f out, soon ridden, stayed on well final furlong, not reached winner
keen, chased leaders, ridden and effort over 1f out, kept on one pace final furlong
made all, shaken up over 1f out, stayed on well
chased leaders, outpaced 3f out, drifted left over 1f out, stayed on well final furlong, never on terms
slowly into stride, held up, outpaced 2f out, soon weakened
chased winner, ridden and lost place over 1f out, no extra final furlong
This doesn't look as though it will take much winning and the experienced Dontstopthemusic could well be good enough to lose his maiden tag. Mick Channon's filly hasn't looked anything out of the ordinary, but her last two efforts have been solid enough, which makes her the one to beat. Darla has shown a modicum of ability, but her future looks to lie in handicaps, while the only other runner with experience, Gone Loco, showed absolutely nothing on her debut and can safely be left out of calculations. Keeper's Lodge, a half-sister to a winner in France, is from a stable that is finding winners hard to come by, while Catie Dash is a half-sister to the stables Summer Lightning, who won three times as a juvenile. However, she is a late foal and may need more time. Saristar is quite stoutly bred and will surely need a stiffer test than she faces here. So this can go to Dontstopthemusic, who looks to have most to fear from Darla.
