A low grade staying contest in which Misternando is sure to be a popular choice to make up for his unlucky mishap in the week at Yarmouth. However, he will be priced accordingly and he may be worth taking on with the lightly weighted Etching, who proved she stayed this trip when staying on into third place at Beverley, having been set plenty to do. Using Faraway Lady as a guide, she does have something in hand over Misternando on these terms. Ridden a bit more positively here could have the desired effect and she is certainly at the right end of the handicap to take advantage. Misternando, a big long-striding colt has done nothing but improve since stepping up in trip and would have gone close to beating Faraway Lady in the week had he not hit the rails and unshipped his rider. He isn't an easy ride as he tends to hang, but there is no doubt he has his fair share of ability. St Jerome won a non event at Catterick and has more to do here, while Acceleration isn't well named. Pilgrim Spirit is slow, but may improve for the step up in trip, while Fantastico also has a squeak on his run behind Misternando at Chepstow, but we will stick with Etching, who is still open to some improvement at this trip.
