Quasar d'Oudairies is less exposed than most of these after just three career starts and has shown a reasonable level of form in two starts over hurdles but he may have to settle for minor honours here, with Woolcombe Folly looking to have solid claims and getting the verdict over Beherayn. The selection showed useful form in bumpers and the Paul Nicholls-trained gelding has shown progressive form over hurdles, latterly running out a good winner of a similar contest at Newton Abbot. A reproduction of that effort may well suffice for the five-year-old today. Exeter winner Thebelloftheball has struggled to trouble the judge since that success and it may be the same story again today, while Cornish Flame ran better at Chepstow last time but needs to improve again to get involved at the finish. Henry Daly's Beherayn looks to be going the right way and has to be considered but it is hard to get away from Woolcombe Folly who gets the vote to give trainer Paul Nicholls another winner.
