Verdict

Coconut Beach was good value for his win at Uttoxeter last time but that was on a soft surface and even in a race as weak as this he may be best left out of calculations on the faster ground today with a better bet looking to be CORONADO'S GOLD, who gets the verdict with Petrosian rated the pick of the remainder. The selection was pulled up when last seen over hurdles but he has gone well on the flat since then and he may be worth chancing in a poor contest. Cordage was a winner on the level three starts ago but gave no sign of encouragement when returned to hurdles last time and looks best watched, while Tamreen is capable but was very disappointing at Towcester last time. Pips Assertive Way was well held in the same race and of more interest may be Petrosian, who takes a drop in class today. This is a poor event, even by selling standards and what can only be a tentative choice goes to Coronado's Gold.
