In depth

Verdict

An intriguing handicap chase with several holding claims including the topweight Canadiane, from the Martin Pipe stable. The filly has been kept busy during the summer months and retains her form well. She can be expected to run her usual good race. Saragann was disappointing when upped in class at Market Rasen last time and is better than he showed there and with the Hobbs stable continuing in such good form he has to be respected. A similar comment also applies to the Venetia Williams-trained Rosencrantz and a better bet may be recent course winner Fear Siuil. Although successful over 2m4f last month the drop back in distance should not inconvenience the nine-year-old who has solid claims.
