The unseasonal recent weather conditions will make this year's renewal of the Shergar Cup a real stamina test and proven soft-ground performers should be considered. With this in mind, Beauchamp Pilot has plenty going for him and is the TEAMtalk selection in the opener. Gerard Butler's charge has a progressive profile having won five of his last seven starts and will relish the conditions. Norton had a number of these including the selection behind when landing the Royal Hunt Cup on fast ground but has yet to show he can handle these conditions as effectively while Scotty's Future has been struggling off similar marks since landing the Victoria Cup here in May. Duke Of Modena has slipped down to a fair mark again and goes particularly well with give so looks best of the remainder.
