    Verdict

An interesting contest despite the small field with a mix of unexposed three-year-olds and older established performers in opposition. Rahwaan confirmed the merit of previous form when landing a Chepstow maiden in June and was far from disgraced on his handicap bow at Newbury last time. John Dunlop's charge is open to plenty of improvement and will be in the shake up but recent winners Mamcazma and Thewhirlingdervish may struggle in the testing conditions so the TEAMtalk vote goes to Prairie Falcon. The Barry Hills-trained gelding handles these conditions and is back on a winning mark so is taken to reverse recent course form with Mamcazma on 12lb better terms for a three-and-half length defeat.
