Nonrunner
ROWAN LODGE can win this, and is selected ahead of Plumage and It's Josr. Ollie Pear's runner hasn't won in handicap company since his juvenile days, but came close to rectifying that last time out at Wolverhampton. He's won off a higher mark than this in sellers and claimers, and this could be the contest to break the duck. Expect him to be ridden prominently. Plumage is one of the few here not to have won over course or distance. A couple of seconds in her last races, there may be a question mark over her finishing ability after being in contention until late on. It's Josr won a similar event at Bath last time out; first time blinkers certainly helped on that occasion, and they're back on again today. He seemed to have a good attitude, and will surely be supported for that success. Just be careful, as there's also Josr's Magic running. Our selection though is Rowan Lodge.
