Verdict
COMPTON FORD can follow up an August success to land this, and is selected ahead of You've Been Mowed and Silent Treatment. The pick, making his all-weather debut, won a lowly seller in fine fashion at Mussleburgh last time out, turning over a very short priced favourite. He's Michael Dod's only runner on the card, and it's long way down from Darlington just for a day out. He's not shown a great deal before that, but is well treated for that success. Silent Treatment won here in a seller earlier in the year, and has also tasted success at Yarmouth. She's not necessarily the most straightforward though. You've Been Mowed was a creditable third in a Lingfield nursery a fortnight ago, when Marbled Cat was well down the field. The drop back to 5 furlongs can only help. We'll favour though the claims of Compton Ford.
