MINUS FIFTEEN gets our vote in this contest, ahead of Always A Rock and Paraguay. Both his wins have come on the all weather in similar events; once here and also at Kempton, but at 7 furlongs. However, the step up in trip doesn't look like it'll pose a problem, and it may have been just a poor draw which hindered him last time out at Kempton. Neil Callan rides the track really well, and goes into the meeting looking for his 100th winner here. Always A Rock needs to rediscover the form of earlier in the year when landing a hat-trick of wins for Mark Johnston, in better company than this. Expect him to be raced prominently. Paraguay won 4 handicaps back in May and June, but all off a lower mark than he's on now, and he's yet to be placed in 7 starts on the all-weather, but he should be better than some of these. For our pick though, we'll side with Minus Fifteen.
