Najaaba is an improving filly and may well be still ahead of the handicapper but she may find it difficult to confirm recent form with Ellen Mooney, who is selected to take the honours, with Modesty Blaise put forward as the main danger. Ellen Mooney was easily turned over by Najaabah in that course and distance event on January the sixth but Bryan Smarts filly was giving a stone to her rival on that occasion and today is receiving weight. The selection is also relatively lightly raced and should have scope for further improvement. Modesty Blaize, who had shown some ability on the turf when trained by James Given, won a modest Wolverhampton maiden in great style and may have been let in lightly by the handicapper. At the bottom of the handicap Eager Angel could go well after running second over the seven furlong trip here last time, but in a very tricky race we will just side with Ellen Mooney
