Smart Starprincess gets the vote in the opener on the card with Blue Power, Scottish Exile and Lizhar the most likely to chase our nomination home. The selection is a course and distance winner who is in great heart at present and she won in good style when defeating Ivory Lace last time at Lingfield. She has blistering early pace and if she gets a lead she will be difficult to peg back. Blue Power could give her the most to do as this 3-year-old from the Karl Burke yard goes well on this track and has shown a good level of form in nurseries. She looks a progressive type who has to be worthy of plenty of respect at present. Scottish Exile was well beaten on this track last time behind Blofeld, but he will be suited by the return to 5 furlongs, while Lizhar is a consistent sort but the suspicion is that this filly is better over slightly further. Of the remainder, Sahara Silk would have chances on her best form, but Smart Starprincess should have too much toe for her rivals here and is the confident choice.
