A tricky opener which could concern course specialists Mr Pertemps, High Esteem and Majik, with the latter just getting the vote. Richard Quinn has been booked to ride this son of Pivotal who bounced back to form here last month when going down by just a length and half to the well handicapped Bella Beguine, there were some inform horses behind that day so the form looks rock solid. Mr Pertemps hasn't seen a racecourse since April but loves this track, winning here four times at the beginning of the year, and should make his presence felt. Strictly on the form book, High Esteem appears to be well held by the selection, but on past efforts at this track must enter calculations. Boisdale and Xaloc Boy are also weighted to run well but on this occasion we will take a chance on Majik.
