Not surprisingly being by Captain Rio, Rio Cobolo appreciated the cut in the ground when successful at Nottingham over five furlongs last time but the return to six may not suit Paul Green's colt and a better bet may be CUT AND THRUST, who is preferred to Oisin's Boy. Jim Boyle's gelding showed improved form in a maiden over course and distance last time and he has to be respected but he may do better over an extra furlong. Bulella ran his best race so far here last week and she has solid claims being able to race off a 5lb lower mark today but this race may come too soon as racing on the Fibesand often takes its toll. Alan McCabe's runners are seemingly coming into form now so his runner Iliketoboogie may improve on recent starts, while Karl Burke's Madison Belle has yet to even be placed in eight starts so looks best left out of calculations. The vote then goes to Cut And Thrust, who showed improved form for the switch to the Fibresand last time and he is taken to fulfil that promise and open his account.
