ALPHA JULIET is selected to win this seller for the Matt Gingell yard. Great Compton and Little Shilling could emerge as the biggest dangers in this weak contest. Well beaten last time out at Fontwell, Alpha Juliet had previously finished a good second behind Corkage, a horse the Lucinda Russell yard hold in some regard. She raced rather keenly last time which quite possibly was her undoing over that near three mile trip. Great Compton returned from a long break to finish third last time in a similar contest to this. Off the same mark once again he would have to be considered but is rather inconsistent while Little Shilling makes his debut for a yard that are quickly establishing a reputation of improving others cast-offs. Storm Haven has indicated some ability in bumpers, finishing placed in two of her four starts in them. She was disappointing on her return to action last time but if she was to transfer her bumper form to hurdling she would have to be considered given her lightly raced profile and the moderate standard of her rivals. Alpha Juliet is selected to win the opener.
