In a handicap that won't take much winning MARIUS MAXIMUS gets the call in the hope he'll improve for a switch to these ranks while Silver Linnet and Tamarind Hill are also leading contenders. Expensive and bred for better things than this the pick has so far struggled in three starts in maidens. He looks light on his handicap bow and a switch to this surface looks also a positive move so with his yard still flying he gets a tentative pick. Silver Linnet is below his last winning mark and has to be considered in a weak race however his previous attempts on this surface have been far from inspiring. Tamarind Hill put in his best performance in a handicap last time out when finding just the one too good over six furlongs at this track. Off the same mark he should be running his race but the return to the minimum distance isn't an obvious plus. Liberty Lady and Fine And Dandie both have claims first time in a handicap but in a race that's trickier than a magician doing a Rubik's cube Marius Maximus has the potential to improve.
