There are four with solid looking prospects in this claimer, of whom we prefer MISARO to Lethal and Bo McGinty. Ron Harris' admirable nine-year-old won nicely last time over this trip at Wolverhampton, but he's won here at Kempton too so the track holds no terrors. A strong travelling sort, he's tactically versatile and that will help in this small field and he looks the one to be with whilst in such good form. At the weights, Lethal comes out marginally ahead of our pick and as such he's respected. However, this will be the gelding's 50th career start and he's still not won over the minimum trip so we'll take him on along with former stablemate Bo McGinty. Richard Fahey's charge is nothing if not consistent but he does find it difficult to get his head in front and this looks no easier than the tasks he's been set lately, although it must be said conditions do appear to be ideal. Fromsong has had another good winter and this course and distance winner merits respect, but he needs everything to drop right and at the age of 12 looks worth taking on. At a price Gleaming Spirit could outrun his odds as he likes to bowl along and could get the run of the race, but victory remains unlikely with that honour hopefully set to fall to Misaro.
