SECRET WITNESS has been in grand form of late and can progress again to score from Lujeanie and Vhujon. Ron Harris' charge was formerly in the care of Jeremy Noseda and promised to rate higher than this before ultimately becoming disappointing. However, a change in scenery seems to have done the trick and he's followed a course and distance win with two solid runs in defeat. Last time out he was behind Lucky Redback who runs earlier on the card and in the expectation that the form has been franked he rates a bet off just a pound higher mark, with that race looking to have been underestimated. With Bertoliver a better betting proposition over the minimum trip, Lujeanie and Vhujon rate the main dangers. There was little between the pair when they met in December and as both have advertised their wellbeing with solid second placed efforts since there may again be little to seperate them. New Leyf was held off this mark last time but the form of that race has been boosted by the winner and he's back to the scene of his impressive win prior to that, so at a price he could go well for Jeremy Gask and Steve Drowne. The four-year-old makes more appeal than Bahamian Lad who has struggled slightly since winning here in 2009 and needs a helping hand from the assessor. Bonnie Prince Blue was beaten in a claimer last time but has won off higher marks in the past so can't be totally ruled out, whilst Orpsie Boy is becoming dangerously well treated but needs things to pan out just right. This is a good end to a cracking card and it might pay to side with Secret Witness to land it.
