The quality of this card finally reaches its climax as the most competitive race on the card brings the curtain down on the day's play at Southwell. The shortlist includes: King Priam, who can never be ruled out here despite his advancing years, and Seraph, who returns to the Flat again on a very modest mark and has already proved himself at this level. However, Galley Law will need to under perform slightly if he is to let this opportunity pass him by. The Ray Craggs-trained gelding has hit form just at the right time to exploit these opening in the calendar and showed he is not done with yet when easily accounting for the likes of Western Command here last month. There is no reason to suspect that Stravmour will not cope with this drop in trip and he is very much the one to give the selection the most to do. However, he lacks a change of gear and may find Galley Law too hard to real in near the finish.
