Verdict

A straightforward task for Fraamtastic as he bids to land his third Banded Stakes success since the turn of the year. Sea Ya Maite and Delaware Trail are very hard to win with and are not hard to overlook in the search for an alternative, so the burden as the biggest threat goes to Air Of Esteem, who hit form at around this time last year and only just qualifies for this after the handicapper's reluctance to ease up on him over the course of the last twelve months. However, he is firmly on the downgrade now and has not shown the same relish for a battle as Fraamtastic has done in his recent starts. Therefore, Brian Pearce looks set for another small payday with his seven-year-old mare, who is the only runner arriving here having shown enough heart to win a race in recent memory.
