Magic Mamma's Too sets the benchmark for the form here, and she gets the vote over Adantino, Dalriath and Ejay. The selection's second to Allied Victory here over a furlong further last time reads very well in the context of this contest and she should go well. Adantino is struggling to find his right trip, although this one seems best for him right now. He's regressed since a couple of promising efforts at Salisbury in August of 2002, but should be more competitive at this level. If Dalriath runs to the best of his Irish form on his first run in this country then he would be of a lot of interest, while Ejay was staying on on his last run here over a shorter trip and there might be better to come. Of the others, Kennington cost 130,000 guineas as a yearling but has clearly had his problems. However, he showed some promise when seeing the racecourse for the first time, but that was 414 days ago. Zanjeer hinted at ability on Turf but, overall, looks opposable. Heyward Place is not badly bred but has yet to see the racecourse. Kustom Kit For Her has shown a modest level of form, including in first-time blinkers. Modesty Blaise showed some promise in a couple of Turf maidens in the spring but has not been since. Overall, then, and unless then the market tells a different story, we'll side with Magic Mamma's Too in the maiden.
