SUDDEN IMPULSE is a token selection to win this claimer with Veloso and La Estrella possibly the biggest dangers while at bigger prices Kangrina could reward those seeking some value. The winner of a 12 furlong handicap at Musselburgh in August, Sudden Impulse was then outpointed when stepped up in grade. He has since taken in a handicap hurdle and run disappointingly but back in claiming grade, he looks the one to beat. Veloso justified odds-on favouritism last time and given his lightly raced profile, he is open to further improvement. This is as low a grade as he has encountered on the flat although 12 furlongs looks as short a trip as he wants. Well Informed has lots to find on the ratings but has been in fine form of late while Celticello is another taking a drop in grade but is always vulnerable to anything with a finishing kick. Sudden Impulse is nominated to land it.
