Cape Kimberley rates highly after his latest effort and Amno Dancer appeals as a type that could go well here but preference is for ADMIRAL COCHRANE. The yard's juveniles haven't set the world alight this season but Admiral Cochrane showed improved form for the switch to handicapping and should be able to find a race before the year's out. He can take a keen hold which is a concern but it may be best to allow him to bowl along in front here and he should go close. Pont De Nuit merits respect given his connections but it wasn't a great race that he contested last time and stronger form claims are held by Cape Kimberley. James Given's string are running well at present and his colt ran an in-form rival close at the track last time and has the scope to defy a 3lb higher mark. Amno Dancer's career highlight was probably getting to within 4 lengths of Showcasing at Yarmouth two starts back but he's struggled to make much of an impact since. However, given that many of his sire's progeny show a marked preference for soft ground (which he's never run on) there's a fair chance that he could improve for his first attempt at this track. The yard does well here and he's very interesting but Admiral Cochrane just steals the vote.
