A good claimer and TENDER PROCESS is our pick with Ice Planet and Charlotte Grey others to note. Richard Fahey's runners at this grade invariably get overbet so that's a problem for those punters who like to follow the Malton handler religiously. That said, the horse has performed creditably if not spectacularly, at this course, and would have been far worse off at the weights were this race a handicap. Ice Planet was once a well regarded sprinter when with Dandy Nicholls. His form has slumped badly and a switch in stables has not worked the oracle. Charlotte Grey has been in rude health and seems to show her best work at this track. That said, this is a tougher assignment than those last two wins. Imprimis Tagula is a previous winner at Southwell although his trainer has been notably quiet in recent months. Don Pele is a regular in races of this nature though may be better over six furlongs. Obe Royal didn't run a bad race in handicap company last time out although a win ratio of 2 from 49 would suggest that he finds it difficult to get his head infront. A typical claimer and Tender Process appears best placed to prosper.
