He may not take over the world but MEGALO MANIAC should at least be good enough to take over this race in front of Moorside Diamond and Ten to the Dozen. Richard Fahey's five-year-old is a regular at Southall and was a winner here over six furlongs last time. The extra furlong is no concern having recorded gold over course and distance in the not too distant past. Well treated in the weights there is little to suggest back to back wins are out of the question. Two good recent performances have put Moorside Diamond in the frame. A second at Nottingham was preceded by another promising effort at Kempton a fortnight ago. That said comparing the two runs there was no real improvement which is why she doesn't get the vote here. A horse who could surprise many in this race is Ten to the Dozen. The gelding has been a bit hit a miss in races of this standard throughout its career but three consistent performances at Brighton suggest he may feature. Contest of this class have come this five-year-old's way in the past and a continued improvement from his trips to the Sussex coast could make each-way punters happy. Connections of Winged Farasi will also be hopeful after placing at Wolverhampton over a mile and one furlong last out. That performance was his first run for his new yard so further improvement could be expected although Megalo Maniac is our choice.
