Inconspicuous Miss and Denton Diva both have claims on this race but the selection is DESERT STRIKE, an animal on the up. The Paul Cole trained colt has improved each time from his three starts so far and more can be expected again after a good performance at Windsor last time. That day he was hampered by a poor draw but still managed a good performance to land third place at 25-1 and a repeat showing should be enough. Inconspicuous Miss is also likely to figure strongly in the race. She may not have cost much but George Baker's charge showed she has some ability in her only run, from a poor draw 10 days ago and improvement is expected. Hoping to come back from a slightly disappointing outing last time is Denton Diva. Out of touch in eighth was the best Jockey Dale Gibson could get out of her on that occasion and connections are dropping her back in trip to try and lay to bring about an improvement. A couple of placings before her last visit to a race course promises that there is more to come. Unraced Rascal In The Mix is an interesting entry here as well. There are winners in her relations as well as a Group One placing so it will be interesting to see if any money finds its way to her before the off but it's Desert Strike with the verdict.
