Film Festival has not progressed as was expected having been a smart handicapper for John Oxx in the past. Having been acquired since from Michael Halford his form has taken a slight upward curve since front running tactics have been adopted and the quicker surface provides him with a better chance of getting the trip. He is a tentative selection to land this poor contest. Golden Jass finished second in a very poor Fakenham selling hurdle last month, the winner of that contest not being sighted in two contests since. Irish challenger Dippy Duck has displayed some promise but it is very hard to get a grasp on what ground and trip she favours. She appeared to get outpaced in the closing stages but was possibly flattered to get so close to the winners as her rider dictated proceedings from the front. Santera would be another that could get involved after showing some promise two starts back but failed to justify good support last time when her jumping left her down. Film Festival gets the vote in a poor contest.
