        Verdict

        Arabesque Dancer, Rubytwosox and Lancaster Lad form the shortlist in the opener and the vote is given to Arabesque Dancer. The selection ran well when chasing home Paul The Carpet in a handicap at Wolverhampton last time and dropped into this grade she should take plenty of beating. Rubytwosox was well beaten in this grade when last seen but that was over 7f and this step-up in trip could see her in a better light. Lancaster Lad put in an improved effort to chase home Coral Shores last time out and clearly the extra yardage worked in his favour. His overall form is far from convincing but he might be capable of running into a place. Rosy Dawn has won a claimer over this course and distance so she is another worth a mention, although she has been disappointing of late. This is a poor race to open the card but Arabesque Dancer looks the most likely winner and she is put forward as the pick.
