Verdict

Desert Authority can beat the exasperating Escape Clause, with Bordello and newcomer Mulaazem worth noting. Godolphin are finally emerging from their slumber, and a chance is taken that Desert Authority can get off to the best possible start here. The son of War Chant did not see the track as a juvenile so is out to make up for lost time, and on the evidence of his latest work, a winning debut is not out of the question. He holds no fancy entries, but even so, makes more appeal than Escape Clause who has had an alarming knack of getting turned over, including in a handicap here last time. Bordello has taken on fair company, but would prefer more cut in the ground, while Mulaazem is related to winners over 10 furlongs and more. The market could prove informative, but Desert Authority can help get the boys in blue back on track prior to their big weekend ahead.
