      Verdict

Westover wasn’t beaten far in two subsequent runs after making a winning debut over a mile here in August but GOLDSPUR is another course winner and has also won at this level. The Godolphin colt, a Dante and Derby entry, only weakened close home in a Group 1 over this trip at Saint Cloud in October and was a smart juvenile. River Thames, Cash and Franz Strauss all made winning debuts last year and Frantastic is another with bags of scope but Groundbreaker may find this company too hot.
