Verdict

A very disappointing turnout for a Group 3. MOSTAHDAF carries a small penalty for his victory in the Darley Stakes at Newmarket in the autumn but it will be a surprise if he’s beaten. Juan Elcano, successful in a Listed race over trip at Royal Ascot last year, might be a bigger danger than Foxes Tales even though the latter is proven at this level and goes well fresh.
