In an interesting maiden, Mariotto gets the call ahead of Fever and Nothing Is Forever. A 50,000 guineas son of In The Wings, the Mark Johnston-trained Teslin has to be of interest here, although the trainer also runs Mariotto, a Derby entrant who ran green but still finished second on his debut, suggesting that a race of this nature ought to come his way. Nothing Is Forever, an 80,000 guineas two-year-old purchase, also has to be considered, as does Richard Hannon's debutant Mr Aviator. However, Hannon also runs Fever, who got the hang of things late on when third on Lingfield's all-weather on his debut and looks a key player today. Finally, a 16,000 guineas son of Xaar, Countrywide Style can't be entirely ruled out but, for the selection, we return to Mariotto.
Nothing Is Forever (IRE) Daylami colt, brother to 7f & 1m1f winner Commemoration Day, half-brother to numerous winners up to 1m including the Group 2 winner Decorated Hero.
