In depth

Verdict

Averticus can land the opener at the expense of Keidas and Victory Spirit. The selection has had two runs to date and improved from his debut at Windsor to finish second to Nobilissima at Lingfield last time out. He looks a horse very much on the up grade and if repeating his latest performance then he will take all the beating. Keidas will prove to be the biggest danger to the selection as she improved ten fold to finish an eye catching second to Danetime Music at Nottingham last time out. She really did come on for her debut and now the penny has dropped it is a matter of when she breaks her maiden tag. Victory Spirit is another that has improved with each run. He ran a personal best at Newmarket last time out when second to Bid For Glory. Connections feel he has the ability to win in this company rather than go down the handicap route so any market moves should be noted. But for the winner we return to Averticus.
